Client Accounting Associate

Location: Charlotte, NC or Spartanburg, SC | Pay: $23.00–$27.00/hour

Type: Full-time (30–40 hours per week)

Why You’ll Love This Role

Are you a detail-oriented numbers person who loves helping others succeed? As our Client Accounting Associate, you aren’t just “crunching numbers”—you are the vital bridge between international parent companies and their U.S. operations. You’ll be the go-to resource for our clients on the internal accounting side, helping them navigate the complexities of global business while ensuring their daily financial operations run like a well-oiled machine.

If you enjoy a mix of independent problem-solving and repetitive daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks, you’ll fit right in here.

Your Impact & Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll handle a broad range of accounting and customer service duties. No two days are exactly the same, but you can generally expect to:

  • Be the Financial Guardian: Monitor client activities to ensure accuracy and help them follow (or create!) the best accounting procedures.
  • Manage the Flow: Keep AP/AR moving by requesting invoices, assisting with payments, and handling collection communications with a professional, helpful touch.
  • Support the Team: Process payroll, review expense reports, and prepare support documentation for year-end audits as needed and CPA reviews.
  • Bridging Borders: Regularly interface with internal team members at foreign parent companies and their U.S. direct hires to provide top-tier support.
  • Tech Mastery: Keep the digital books tidy using QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books, and other modern accounting platforms.
  • Operational Backup: Step in to help with order processing, tracking shipments, and answering customer inquiries to ensure our clients never miss a beat.

What You Bring to the Table

We are looking for someone who is organized, curious, and ready to grow.

  • Education: An Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s preferred), or at least 4 years of U.S. bookkeeping experience in the manufacturing or wholesale industry (product experience is required).
  • The Basics: You understand T-accounts, general ledgers, how to read a P&L and Balance Sheet, and are familiar with GAAP or IRFS (or you’re a fast learner who is ready to master them).
  • Software Savvy: Experience with QBO or Zoho is a huge plus. Familiarity with ERP systems like Sage or SAP? Even better. Plus, you’ll have experience using GSuite, Microsoft 365, and other communication and workflow systems. You’ll be a key part of our effort to constantly improve these systems and processes.
  • Communication Skills: You can distill complicated financial tasks into simple, clear updates for your teammates and clients.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You have a strong ability to prioritize tasks, troubleshoot systems, and proactively solve accounting challenges. Will follow SOPs, but can make decisions based on experience, company values, and research.
  • Adaptability: The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to the specific needs of diverse clients.
  • Bonus Points: Do you speak German, Italian, Spanish, or French? We work with global clients, so your language skills will be highly valued!

The Perks & Culture

We believe in investing in our people. When you join our team, you get:

  • Growth: We provide dedicated staff training to help you expand your skills and career.
  • Community: Monthly and quarterly team-building events—we actually like spending time together!
  • Stability: A comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) matching, health/dental/vision insurance (plus other supplemental packages), and paid time off (PTO).
  • Flexibility: While initial training is in Charlotte, you’ll have the option to work out of our Charlotte or Spartanburg locations. Though, we do require 100% in office at your preferred location.
  • Diverse Client Portfolio: Unlike working for a single company, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of clients in different industrial sectors. This means you’ll constantly be learning about new technologies, products, and business challenges, keeping your work fresh and engaging.
  • Impactful Work: You’ll play a direct role in the growth and success of real-world businesses.

Additional Information

  • Hours: 30-40 hours per week (guaranteed 30, with opportunity/flexibility to reach 40)
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. is required; we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
