Channel Sales Manager

Management inSites is hiring for one of our clients, a newly established U.S. subsidiary of a successful European company. They have grown from 0 to 4 employees as sales are expanding. They see great demand in the marketplace for their product and are hiring to meet this demand.

Currently, they are looking for a Channel Sales Manager to expand their customer base and achieve sales quotas for specific regions. To be successful in this role, the candidate should have previous experience managing a sales channel (or multiple) while taking accountability for reaching sales revenue targets. The applicant should be able to remotely supervise/support a team of salespeople and set profitable goals for dealers. Excellent communication skills with a strategic mindset are a must. Ultimately, this person should ensure that the assigned area meets and exceeds the expectations of business objectives and contributes to the company’s success in the long run.

Responsibilities

  • Implement channel sales plans and revenue quotas in alignment with business objectives
  • Support dealers with day-to-day inquiries
  • Evaluate dealers’ performances
  • Report dealer sales results
  • Forecast quarterly and annual profits
  • Identify dealer sales team needs and train salespeople accordingly
  • Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility
  • Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
  • Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions
  • Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
  • Devise effective territory sales and marketing strategies
  • Present products and services to prospective customers
  • Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g. trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships
  • Conduct training in sales techniques and company product attributes
  • Monitor competition within assigned region
  • Prepare and submit reports to the General Manager
  • Maintain updated data in a CRM
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success
  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer networks
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
  • Communicate with major clients on a regular basis and respond to specific queries
  • Identify and approach new potential strategic customers

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager or similar senior sales role
  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
  • Understanding of dealer operations
  • Ability to lead and motivate a high performance sales team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
  • Solid sales experience in B2B environment
  • Proven work experience as a strategic account manager or key account manager
  • Knowledge of operations of our machines and ability to demonstrate and present the equipment’s turn-key features into customer benefits
